On 17 June, Uliana Semak, a lecturer at the Department of Biology and Ecology of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, represented the International Scientific Centre “Observatory” at the international RIFF Thematic Summit “Research Infrastructures for the Future of Ukraine” in Brno, Czechia.
During the two-day event, she presented the Observatory’s research capabilities, infrastructure, areas of work and opportunities for international cooperation. The presentation drew interest and questions from participants and received positive feedback. The discussions also helped establish contacts with representatives of the European research infrastructures AnaEE and ACTRIS, as well as the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke).

The Observatory’s strategic development is supported by the university leadership. Its director, Myroslava Mylenka, coordinates the centre’s work. Astronomy is among its research areas, led by Volodymyr Troianskyi; the Biology and Ecology Department contributes research on mountain ecosystems, climate and biodiversity.
The presentation at the summit confirmed the Observatory’s potential as a partner in European research cooperation and its contribution to the integration of Ukrainian science into the European research area.
