An international research and practice meeting will be held at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

On 23–24 July, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and the International Scientific Centre “Observatory” will host an international research and practice meeting focused on protected areas. The event is organised in cooperation with the ConnectED and EDRA initiatives and is intended as a platform for exchanging experience and developing cooperation.

The meeting aims to support integrated monitoring, assess the condition of ecosystems and biodiversity, and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration. Its programme will address the monitoring of air, water, soil and climate; the use of bioindicators; geographic information systems, remote sensing and other digital methods; and the condition of forest, aquatic and mountain ecosystems under climate change and human pressure.

The programme is planned to include expert presentations, discussions, interactive group work, an introduction to the Observatory’s infrastructure and the ConnectED initiative, and a field session. The organisers expect the meeting to encourage international partnerships and the development of shared approaches to nature conservation.
